| “The
goal of the new patient exam is not simply to gather information
about your oral health, but also to establish a relationship
based on trust, caring and confidence—one that can last
a lifetime.” |
| —Dr.
Rogers |
Your experience begins with a phone call to our friendly
front desk staff. You’ll schedule an appointment, whether
for an emergency need, a periodic exam and cleaning appointment,
or a thorough and comprehensive exam with Dr. Rogers.
A comprehensive exam has the highest impact on your
dental health. Results can be much better when Dr. Rogers has all
the appropriate information concerning you and your dental needs.
Scheduling a new patient exam is the cornerstone for building a
relationship between you and Dr. Rogers for a lifetime of dental
health.
This is a co-discovery examination—allowing
both you and Dr. Rogers to determine aspects of your oral health
and appearance that can be improved. Our intra-oral camera lets
you observe the exam in progress. You're able to see exactly what
Dr. Rogers is seeing, and together you can agree on possible solutions.
A new patient exam usually begins with your dental
history and learning about your past experiences with dentistry.
Dr. Rogers gains valuable insights from this, hearing what you want
for yourself, how you see your present level of oral health, and
your expectations.
The next step is a complete clinical exam, much more
thorough than the cursory “check-up”. Dr. Rogers gathers
data about your chewing muscles, jaw joints, and bite. He evaluates
the health of your gums and surrounding tissue, looking for disease,
oral cancer, and injury. We completely assess each tooth, as well
as the condition of any existing fillings, crowns, bonding, and
prostheses, such as dentures.
An aesthetic evaluation is also included. If you’re
concerned about the way your teeth look, you’ll have the opportunity
to “tour” your mouth together with our oral camera technology,
during which you can discuss concerns.
Dr. Rogers will suggest any appropriate and necessary
x-rays. Diagnostic impressions of your mouth may be taken, along
with a complete set of close-up photos of your teeth.
We are committed to your comfort, priority needs,
and long-term health. Starting with your comprehensive oral health
evaluation and through all appointments, we will always take the
time to listen to your concerns and objectives for dental health.
After all, who’s the most important member of
your healthcare team? You are!

We’re committed to providing you and your family
the best in dental care available today. We’ll meet this commitment
through our continued education and improvements in technology.
We also recognize that delivering superior dental
care comes with increased costs to both the dental team and patients.
Our recent survey confirmed that many of you share with other Americans
the two most common obstacles to receiving dental care: fear and
cost.
For patients with high anxiety:
Our team offers modern dentistry in a pain-free, relaxed atmosphere.
You don’t have to avoid the dental care you need.
With regard to cost:
We offer flexible payment options to help patients afford the dentistry
they want and need without dependence on dental insurance benefits.
Insurance:
Through discussions with patients, many of you are aware of changes
we’ve made in processing your insurance claims. Experience
shows that with flexible payment options, patients are much less
concerned with dental insurance restrictions.
Dental insurance is more efficiently handled if the
insurance company directly reimburses the patient, not our office.
We'll continue to offer a high level of customer service by handling:
• X-ray duplication
• Narrative explanation of treatment
• Clinical photos for dental insurance companies
Payments
We ask patients to pay for their treatment at the time of service
for routine visits, such as cleaning, exams, x-rays, fillings, etc.
For larger treatment recommendations, please feel free to discuss
a personalized financial arrangement. This may include accepting
payment directly from the insurance company. We also recognize that
for certain patients and large families payment at the time of service
is a prohibitive financial strain. Please let us know your concerns
so we can create a payment arrangement that best fits your needs.
Please be open with any concerns you have. Through
good communication with our team, we’re confident that you'll
find it easy to afford the dental treatment that you deserve.
